Shrimp & Grits
(Garlic Asparagus File Southern Style Recipe Guideline)
These items below are Phase 1
Phase 1 (Boil/Strain Juice for Grits)
2 cup Water
1 cup Organic Bone in Chicken Broth
½ cup of sliced Onion
½ teaspoon of Celery Salt
6 Cloves of Garlic
1 teaspoon of Parsley
7 Asparagus Stalks
1 Cup Original Grits (not instant)
These items belows below are Phase 2
Phase 2 (Put to Blender; then add to a 2nd pot)
All Strained Veggies in Blender (remove bay leaf)
2 pinch of Powdered Chile Pepper
2 pinch of Zatarians File Gumbo powder
1 teaspoon Lime Juice
1 teaspoon of Sea Salt
½ cup of Phase 1 cooked w/seasoning Chicken Broth
Add Grits to hot strained juice in Phase 1 Pot (don’t forget the fork’n’ stir) till it looks right; then remove Phase 1 Pot from heat. Next for Phase 2 Pot blender mix bring to Simmer; then add & stir together Add Below Items to Phase 2 Pot*** on medium low for Final 5 minutes; then remove from heat….then it’s TIME TO PLATE, SERVE & EAT!
(*** Add Below Items to Phase 2 Pot in Final Cooking Stage***)
½ cup of Crème Ale Craft Beer ( ***)
1 cup Jumbo Shrimp (***)
